This code uses a bitmasking technique to set output states which are serially transmitted to a 74HC595 parallel output shift register. Bitmasking allows reassignment of physical pin functions by alteringbitmask constants in the file header. Outputs are controllable via the debug terminal or Hyperterminal. This is BS2 code.
